So, this is how I'd been storing all my necklaces. Outgrown the storage, wouldn't you think? Every time I wanted a necklace there would need to be time allotted for detangling the mess. Not so handy. But, the birds are so pretty, I'll need to find a new use for it.
So, I started to scout around for ideas that would work for me and I knew I still wanted them hung. This bare spot in my tiny dressing closet won the job.
I got out my tools and made a custom system for the width and height of the space available. It also had to hold all the different lengths of necklaces I had now and will inevitably purchase in the future. And I wanted it to have a lot of hooks so there wouldn't need to be many double-hung.
So, this is the final result. I am able to see all my choices in the different lengths and styles. I installed the top one higher on the wall to accomodate the longer necklaces. I'm ready in a flash now. No more tangles, no more tears. Ok, so I never cried, but it was frustrating!
